Murren, Switzerland

After leaving Lake Constance we traveled through Zurich, Bern and Interlaken (where we saw two of the most gorgeous turqoise moutain lakes I've ever seen) we arrived in Lauterbrunen, Switzerland. From there we had to take a cable car up to another village and from there a train even further up the mountain to the tiny mountain village, Murren. The trip up the mountain was nothing short of jaw-dropping as we sped up the steep mountain incline. Stepping foot out of the train station and into the small mountain village we were both certain we had died and gone to Heidi heaven.

Our hotel, the Eiger Guesthouse, was located directly outside the train station and provided simply stunning views of the Jungfrau and Eiger mountain peaks. The snow covered mountain peaks were so close you felt as if you could reach out and touch them.

The weather was gorgeous when we arrived. It was actually hot, about 85 degrees farenheit. In the mountains, the weather changes quickly. By dinner, it was pouring rain amidst thunder and lightening. After a long day, Jenn, Randy, Sigi, and I all had dinner and enjoyed the mountain view after much travel.
