Conner Prairie

So much fall fun at CP in September! The apple store is always such a treat. The pumpkin and apple doughnuts are my favorite. The girls chose a chocolate covered marshmallow with sprinkles.

Darcy doesn't look too happy here but I promise she was having fun!  :)

Love this picture... Sweet friends

Nora was there too! :)

Nora thought she could lay in the baby bed.

Sweet sisters

I'm amazed each day at how close Emma and Nora have become.  I pray they will remain close for the rest of their lives. Emma already stands up and defends Nora to other kids. It is precious.  I won't be long before Nora is returning the favor.

The New Playscape!

Rickie and I took the kids to visit the new playscape at the children's museum a couple of weeks ago. Everyone had a blast. Such a neat space! My only complaint is that things are kind of seperate within the large room so if you have kids at two different age levels (which most of us do!) then it is hard to keep an eye on both kiddos at the same time if the want to go seperate ways.

Emma with a random little boy and Rex. ;)

Nora's surgery

On Monday we took out "little bits" in for a minor surgery to open her tear ducts. Her eyes have been watering since she was born and tend to get pretty goopy when she gets a cold. After going for a consult last June and a four month waiting long wait it was finally the day! Everything went super smoothly. She was pretty fussy when coming out of the anesthesia but once we got home she started to eat, drink and most importantly smile! After a good nap she was back to her normal self.

Playing with some pompoms in the waiting room.

Not happy before surgery... Someone is hungry!

Home! She downed her apple juice!

Such a trooper! Dr. Said her eyes may still not drain normally until the stents are removed in April. But hopefully we will see some improvement before then.

July recap

Wow, I can't believe July has already come and gone. What a fun month it has been. I'll do a recap of main events since I have really slacked this month.

July 3rd Nora had her 1 year well check. She is healthy as can be! We will have her tear duct surgery in early October. She weighed in at a whopping 22lbs! Considering Emma still only weighs 25lbs this is kind of a big deal for our family.
She loves food and life! Such a happy girl! She is saying momma, dadda, mema(Emma), doggie and thank you. She will shake her head no and she will sign "more." Love that she is able to communicate so well.

July 4th- we went to the Carmel parade! It was a great time. Emma loved seeing the floats and catching the candy.

Another big event for the month is that Nora started walking!!!

Emma took her first ballet class!

Russ and I took a kid free trip to Charleston, SC. It was so much fun! We went to the beach, shopped, and ate at lots of yummy places.

And just a few of my favorite pictures from the month...
