I was once told that the days will seem long, but the years will fly by. After becoming a parent I now see how much truth there is in this statement. Raising kids isn't easy, but it sure is fun!(Well, most of the time.) Through our blog we hope to keep our family and friends up to date on how our little ones learn and grow.
We are excited to announce that we are expecting a new baby in June! We will have our next ultrasound on January 26th. Hopefully, we can find out that day if we are expecting a boy or a girl. Emma loves babies so we are confident she will be a wonderful big sister. We keep telling her that there is a baby in mommy's belly and she asks to get it out. She also points to my stomach and says "ball." Awesome....not supposed to be that big yet. Oh well, what can you do?
Here is the first ultra sound at 9.5 weeks. I will be 15 weeks on Sunday.
We started out the day right with breakfast at Rosie's! It was so good considering it was the first real meal any of us had eaten in the previous 3-4 days after passing around the stomach bug.
That evening we went to Russ's parents house for family Christmas. Emma had so much fun. Check out the video of her when we first arrived.
She loved riding Bucky!

Emma is very excited to draw as she opens her craft box from Grandma and Papa.
This Christmas was a blast. It was so much fun to see Emma bounce from one toy to another as she explored new things. We had a wonderful day filled with family and memories. I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas as well. It is hard to believe another year is about to come to a close. Time truly does fly by. We hope you have a safe and Happy New Year! We look forward to the blessings the Lord has in store for 2012!

Time for some play food.
Haley opening her gift... check out the video below.

She loved her Dora pjs and bubble bath.
Sitting on her potty...getting her new "blue shoes" on. Which she refused to take off for the rest of the day. This made bath time a bit of a challenge.
After some hard playing and a nap...with her shoes on...we headed to my parents for our Christmas with them.
She is playing with her new doll that came with a doctor kit from Aunt Ashley.
Toasting some bread...
She LOVES her new tent!

By the end of the night she had the unwrapping down pretty well!
On Sunday, we took Emma to see Santa or Tanta as she calls him. :) We have been talking about going to see him for a few days now and she has been VERY excited. However, we thought that once she saw him in person she would get scared. Were we WRONG! She LOVED him. Here is some video of her....pretty much adorable. :) The picture of them turned out great, but it hasn't been uploaded to the store website yet so I will post it hopefully in a few days. We weren't allowed to take our own while she was on his lap. But there are a few below of her walking around the store. She keeps talking about it tonight alone she has kissed Santa's picture twice. She is so funny...
On Sunday, Lindsay, Addi and Elli came over to finish some baking. We iced some sugar cookies. Linds made buckeyes and the girls got in some play time.
The girls are enjoying some cookies.
I missed a great picture of the girls hugging each other. By the time I got the camera this is what I got...
